Trained in the Fine Arts and Design, Shari enjoys all sorts of artistic pleasures. Photography, Painting & Drawing, Sculpure & Ceramics, Mosaics & Murals, and Design & Illustration. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from the University of Florida, Shari traveled to Chicago and fell in love with this city's rich cultural landscape.
Some of Shari's public work includes art for the Chicago Jazz Festival, Chicago Latino Film Festival, Printer's Row Bookfair, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Children's Memorial Hospital, Midway Airport, and the Chicago Opera Theatre.
Publicly, you can see Shari's Murals at the State & Lake train station and at Nettelhorst Elementary School, both located in Chicago, IL. She was a participant in Chicago's "COWS on Parade" public art exhibition for the Allerton Hotel on Michigan Avenue, and was the winner of Chicago's Lakeview Art Competition for her large-scale photograph titled, "African Queen".
Shari was twice the recipient of the National American Jewish Press Association (AJPA) Award for Excellence in Design & Illustration, and was named by Today's Chicago Woman Magazine as one of Chicago's "Women on the Move."
